Thomas Hobbes Backstory Once, long ago in the forgotten annals of history or maybe it was only a few decades ago or from your perspective it hasn't actually happened yet Who knows; Am I on trial?! Anyway at sometime or other there was a wide-eyed idealist (Actually, no, he was pretty cynical even then.) and political activist named Thomas Hobbes. Born and raised in the Socio-capitalist collective of the O.W.N., from his youth, he had always been a productive and utilitarian member of society who went out of his way to help others, and had a strong dedication to bettering his overall surroundings and society.
So he dedicated himself to giving speeches, and petitions to reform in his country. For awhile he was able to do some small, rather insignificant good, though it took place through the inspiration his speeches inspired in individuals, rather than through actual governmental reform. But this was not good enough
octh: Last broadcast "Hello, this is Anton Drexler; speaking in stead of our president Thomas Hobbes, on the emergency broadcast system."
"This is not a test. I repeat, this is not a test."
"At 2200 hours today, we came under attack by the rebel forces, who worked under the orders of the O.W.N. First, our national power plants came under surprise attack. Since that time, they had been fully taken over by rebels, who have permanently terminated their functions. At the time this occurred, with our defenses lacking, they also began a full scale aerial assault, damaging much of the country's technological infrastructure. We have been informed that even though we have retaken the main facility, that all attempts to restore it's functions have been unsuccessful, as far too much of it, as well as the surrounding workings of the grid have been damaged in the attack."
Talk to Freud 02 A silent figure looked down upon Adam and Sophie battling against the two halves of Freud. It was filled with more than a little anger at once again seeing the face it hated so much, but which it knew it could not yet destroy.
Yet, at any rate. It's time would come, once it no longer had to be protected. It got ready, and prepared to go down to meet them.
"Aaaand. Un Deux...Trois!"
Adam and Sophie were hiding behind the large pillars of the hallway. Though they were bogged down, they had at least enough ammo and knives to ensure holding off Freud a little while. Unfortunately for them, the red aggressive one had been making it's way ever closer to them, under cover fire from the blue one. They hoped they would be able to hit it with a stray bullet before it blew apart all their hiding places with one
Talk to Freud 01 Adam and Sophie were running down the corridor, in hopes they wouldn't lose their pursuit. At the end of it they ran into a face waiting for them that they both knew well, and had seen following with the other remnants; that of Sigmund Freud. They both screeched to a halt, and pointed their weapons as Freud stood up from the makeshift office. (that he was staring over disapprovingly.) He turned to them.
"Hello. I'm glad you managed to come all this way. I would hate to have waited around for nothing."
Sophie spoke first.
"You were waiting for us?"
"We're always waiting for you. Every step you take we have traversed before you, and waited for you to follow."
"Can you express that general message in a way that doesn't sound so stupid?"
"No doubt I could, but I choose not to."
End of The Universe Adam and Sophie looked into the giant rift which spread out before them. It looked rather like an overlapping plethora of random imagery, diverging to a single point infinitely in the distance. An image which was no longer constrained by rationality or logic. A nightmare of the surreal.
They knew they would have to enter This was the final stretch. Possibly the final location which would ever continue to exist for all time. It looked almost like giant intricate jeweled clockwork. Things they could barely even perceive. They knew that even what they thought they saw before them was only a projection. A rationalization of something so far beyond their comprehension that even a semi-intelligible collapse to projected coherence was not an accurate reflection of even it's basic reality.
A projection Upheld by their Piece of J. They still didn't know what it was. Where it came from
